Friendly Reminder - Covid 19 Rules

Just a friendly reminder to all our members ( and guests ) regarding the new rules for Covid 19 Safe Tennis Rules.

We’ve all being living with the new tighter Lockdown rules for a week now and we are slowly adjusting to the new way of working.

Face coverings - It is now MANDATORY for everybody in The Tennis Clubhouse to wear a mask or Facecovering. This applies to staff and members and people using any of The Club’s facilities.

However there few of exceptions to this rule.

  1. When you are on court playing tennis, Face coverings are not needed ( but they are moving to and from the court at all times )
  2. When you are in the bar / café and are having food or drink bought from the café / bar, again masks aren’t needed, but if you are sat / stood anywhere in The Clubhouse and NOT eating or drinking ) then a mask must be warn.
  3. If you have a medical exemption which prevents you wearing a mask 

 

If you do fall into the Medical exemption category, please just subtly inform the receptionist as we don’t wish to remind a member who is unable to wear a mask. This will be obviously kept completely confidential of save the embarrassment of being asked, while we try and keep everybody as safe as possible at our Club.

 

NHS Track and Trace App -  The Mandatory part of the Track & Trace App for us as a Hospitality Venue, is displaying our QR Code for the new NHS Track App for people to use should they wish.

We hope members will use The App when arriving at The Club to help with Track and Trace, BUT currently it isn’t mandatory for members to use it, just advisory.  

However, it is now a legal requirement that The Club has a comprehensive log of who is here at any one time and we will be collecting this information either by registers for groups, court booking records for players and a general log behind reception.

Members can greatly help The Club with this, by ensuring every court you book has ALL the players name added to the booking not just your own. Most bookings we receive are booked in just a single name and it would help The Club MASSIVELY if when booking, you could add the other names within your two or four, so we aren’t having chase members when they arrive to ensure we have the correct information.
