The Lawn Tennis Association have contacted us with details of The Wimbledon Ticket Ballot for Clubs and how tickets will be distributed to LTA members.
Please note The LTA have given members very little notice and must apply by 14th February 2022.
The current plan ( Pandemic allowing ) is for The LTA to once again allow Club’s to organise their own draw for the tickets that are allocated to each individual Tennis Club.
** THE AMOUNT OF TICKETS ALLOCATED TO EACH CLUB IS WHOLLY DEPENDANT ON HOW MANY MEMBERS FROM ECH VENUE ARE OPTED IN. **
As you are aware, due to the pandemic we are very low on members, so therefore we are very likely to get a reduced allocation of tickets for The Championships this year.
However, if ALL our members ( Adults and Juniors aged 11+ ) were to Opt in for The Wimbledon Ballot, we would then get a much higher allocation of Wimbledon Tickets.
The LTA will have e-mailed all existing LTA members personally and this is just a reminder from us to ensure to renew your LTA Membership and Opt in for The Wimbledon Ballot ( again before February 14th 2022 )
You will need to renew your Junior (11-17) or Adult (18+) LTA Membership before 14 February 2022 in order to be eligible. After you have renewed, you will then be able to Opt In which will also need to be completed before 14 February 2022. More information on eligibility can be found on the LTA ballots page.
If you are a new tennis member who hasn’t got an LTA ( Free ) Membership, please contact The Club’s reception or Coaches, who will be pleased to help you join The LTA.
Finally, once The Club’s tickets allocation becomes available, we will inform our members.
We are very nearly ready to share the Membership alterations with you all and we hope to e-mail all members ahead of this weekend, with detailed explanations on The Club’s Website at the same time. We have been slightly delayed for a number of reason including Covid affecting over 50% of the staff over the last 3 weeks.
