INDOOR TENNIS COURTS OPEN TO EVERYBODY - From Monday 17th May 2021
Further to this weeks Government announcement of the further easing of lockdown restrictions, discussions have taken place between The Lawn Tennis Association ( LTA ) and The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport ( DCMS ), and we are pleased to confirm that effective from Monday 17th May 21, all restrictions on Indoor Tennis Courts will be lifted.
This latest easing of restrictions enables members to play singles and doubles both indoors and outdoors and that group coaching for adult can also take place indoors too.
BOOKING ARE NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE FROM MAY 17TH ONWARDS INDOORS, ( for 15 days ahead as normal )
In line with the Government rules for hospitality, we can also reopen the Tennis Clubhouse, and serve driks and food, BUT under the rule of six, meaning indoors, groups of a maximum of six adults can socialise and up to 30 people outdoors can mix.
There are still some rules regarding Face Coverings in place and we have been asked to request members to wear face coverings while going to and from the indoor courts and when they are in The Clubhouse and not eating or drinking.
We are aware how difficult this last rule will be to police, as we don't want to be trying to determine who is and isn't drinking ! but none of us want a resurgance of this virus, so we just ask all members to try and use common sence when in The Clubhouse and use masks where appropriate ,for both your own and everyboy else's continued protection.
We are absolutely thrilled to be finally back open fully from May 17th and again thank our wonderful members for their continued support.
Once we have fully reopened we will announce a few events as a thank you.
Please find below a link to The LTA's "Covid 19 Return to Play Tennis Guiddlines" which cover the exact rules on what Club's and Members should adhere to.

Best Wishes
